The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    While waiting for my 1720, my poor little Inspiron 2500 monitor went out!
    (Murphy's law...why it could not have waited a few more weeks who knows)

    Picture This:
    In order to keep me working and have my old lappy still mobile between my house and art studio, I went and bought two HUGE honkin used external monitors(these babies are dinasour's) to hook up to the ole 2500 lappy! Wallah...back in business! LOL... he..he..he..

    How sad that I have to do this.....I need my NEW lappy! :)

    Well, I hope you didn't have to spend too much on monitors that will soon become useless...Though they might have some ebay value.
