I don't really know why the num lock on my 9300 doesn't seem to do anything. I thought pressing the num lock will enable me to use the blue number keys printed next to the normal letter keys. Can anyone give me some pointers? Thanks

I'm not sure if you've tried this, but did you try "[FN]+NumLock"? Even though the Number Lock has it's own key on my AVERATEC 3270, you still have to hold down the [FN] key and then press NumLock to turn it on.

I don't know why its like this, but you have to have num lock on, then you press fn + number. Its a mystery to me why its this way, but I think num lock is kinda useless since you still have to press fn key.

You need to change a setting in the system bios - on system boot up enter setup and scroll down til you find "numlock" make the change in there and save your settings then your numlock key can be used to toggle between the imbedded keypad and letters on those keys.

I find the keypad on a laptop so different from a normal keypad, that I can't even use it. They are spaced at an angle and I never hit the correct button without looking anyway, so I just use the numbers above the letters if I have to use my keyboard on the laptop.
I always wondered why they even bother, but I guess some people must use them...
