Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP has filed a securities fraud class action (only relevant for stock owners - not for Dell computer owners!):

Link includes certification form for joining the class act.

(I'm not a Inquirer reader. I was just looking for an english source to the german news here:

I dumped NVDA at a little over $23, bought around $17. I'm very happy I did. A few months later it tanked. I would be getting in on the class action probably myself. I had a good amount of money invested in NVDA.

And a class action lawsuit in Sunny California:

Probably old news for some of you. However, I wanted to keep the information flowing as it becomes available. While our concerns have been more related to warranty issues, I think that it also important to look at what is shaking at the source of our miseries. STILL wondering what is in store for us from our beloved laptop manufacturers. With Nvidia anticipating massive warranty repairs, can something better than a 1 year warranty extension be in the works?

Would a class action lawsuit protect us?

No, it's for shareholders who lost 30+ % when their stock dropped.

Lucky me I sold all my NVDA shares before it tanked. I bought high and sold high though so the profit was small.

So it sounds like consumers are not in line for vindication. It will be . . . the shareholders! Yay.

The shareholders own part of the company - they are entitled to at least an explanation on the the performance of their investment - especially if something fishy was up. They have a vested interest in the company itself.

I'm a customer who used to own NVDA stock, now I'm just a customer. A guy I work with is an owner and customer.

There's nothing special about this - it happens all the time.

I have merged mgh_a1's thread with this thread as this thread was a) created first b) we do not need two threads about it in the same forum.

    Cheers
