MS will release a driver which is WHQL certified bro and its nice to have it but if you want to OC and get best performance then go for Modded Drivers , the best place for them is Laptopvideo2go.com bro

    Read Tip #11 here:

Follow the instructions. This driver sped up my notebook a lot more than dells driver.

I downloaded the modded drivers from latpovideo2go.com, and they seem to work almost the same as the update via Windows Update. I uninstalled the modded one because it would constantly freeze WoW for a brief two seconds, and even crashed it one time.

The ones on the nVidia site are for desktop cards only. That's what laptopvideo2go is for; they take the desktop drivers and edit the INF to tell the driver to allow it to work with mobile cards.

Is there a particular reason that Nvidia chooses not to support their mobile cards........?

How come on the laptopvideo2go.com drivers page it only lists up to 169.09, and in the forums they offer up to 174 drivers? Which ones are better?

The forums are the place to get your drivers. They have all of their available drivers on the forums. Go there to see what is available.

Are the laptopvideo2go drivers better than the ones that would normally update on your computer?

In general, some of the laptopvid2go drivers do ofter a little bit better performance than the standard driver updates that are available. The downside is that some people experience some issues when using the modified drivers(ie sleep issues, video playback issues). I for one use the laptopvid2go 150's series drivers because they offer good stability for laptops, albeit slightly less gaming performance than the versions in the 160's.

Yes, the microsoft update for the nvidia driver supports your graphics card.

Actually, on the windows experience index score thing, my "grade" in gaming graphic went down from 4.7 to 4.6 after I uninstalled the driver from laptopvideo2go. So apparently it increased my gaming. Maybe I'll keep it after all.
However, I find it out that the driver I did download changes my desktop gamma ratio, and my deskto becomes more dark. Any suggestions on this?

WEI is useless. Don't use it to base how well a card/driver will run something.
