I upgraded my processor from a Core Duo to a T7400 C2D. Now, whenever the sytem requests a reboot as it does after a Windows Update, it powers down instead of rebooting. Not as critical as it is annoying. But nonetheless. Any ideas what could cause this? I have the latest A15 BIOS. And I think the motherboard is a REV 2. Don't know if there is something on the motherboard that I need to switch. Any and all help appreciated. Thanks.

Is your laptop properly identifying the new processor in BIOS?
