    Well, there didn't seem to be a thread for these amazing little wonders...and the XPS owners shouldn't get all the fun ;)


    Ok, first topic for discussion...anyone else have a really noisy disk drive?? Whenever mine is reading a disk it is extremely loud...Rattling because it's loose in the case I believe. Anyone attemped to remedy this?

    only problem is whether it's upgradeable to Penryn which is a huge jump for video encoding performance.

    yeah, I saw the other threads...but they're buried, and there wasn't really one specifically for the 1400. I only included the 1420 because it's basically the same notebook.

    so...any mods or anything?
