Edit: I just discovered from Sonic the software ordered from them was for a newly released Dell Double Layer DVD/R/RW, to my delight I seen the *8.5GB* available from where Sonic said it would be, no wonder it has version 9, where all the upgrades were up to version 5-6, there is NO upgrade as this is the newly released Double Layer.

I know that the 8600 first edition had the other ports, the new updated or 2nd editon Notebook could be ordered after March of 2004, and that Dell may have just tested it out, maybe that's why the company that bought it sent it back to dell, I don't know what some of the other names even are. Dell now trying to redeem itself from what they tried to bill the company, this not a home personal computer but one ordered by a company and thru Microsofts software edition of the nobrainer volume #?, helped me by unwittly indentifying the companys name. The companies are laying off workers to save money why newly ordered computers?

No wonder the computer/notebook looked brand new not a scratch on it, maybe some good luck after all has come my way. I can get the hardware to take from VCR and input it thru the hardware USB connection, then burn all of the no commercial "Bancek" episodes for the Mystery movie was 90 minutes not like regular 60 minute TV series of today at XP, since the disc is 2 layers I don't have use inferior SP! WOW [ :)]

Any good ideas would be welcomed! T.I.A.

How about a side business archiving peoples home videos to DVD? Maybe get into video restoration...

Or you can archive various finds on the internet...there is lots of odd and interesting binary files floating around.

Along the video route...ever wanted to be a video producer? Sounds like you can get the equipment and a class can be a click away.
