I am ordering my XPS M1210 tomorrow and I was going to get the back-up disc for XP MCE so I can do some reformatting to clean the HD. And it's not even an option anymore.
Is there another way to get it?

It should come with your laptop automatically. Some of the higher end laptops like latitude and XPS come with the XP disc without having to request it.

If in the end it doesn't come with your laptop, call Dell's tech support. They should send one out to you.

I was wondering what is the point with the option to add extra $10 when you order your computer off the dell's website to include the reinstall cd. If I can get it free later on, why did they add that option in?

    Okay, thank you.
I was going to ask you about reformatting too.
Does it really make the computer a bit quicker? After getting rid of Dell's junk?

You never ask people on the net for piracy, call. They will send it for free, yeesh heh if you don't like that option then you can esily find it through other avenues.

Dell India doesnt have anykind of cd's with them. My 2hrs long convincing talk with them gave a fair idea that Dell india doesnt have any kind of cd's with them. For drivers they adviced to download from dell site which is acceptable.
But for XP disc and Media direct repair utility disc i was asked to BUY it from Microsoft $#%*^ wht shizz is that !!

I wanna know did anyone actually get a XP and Repair disc from DELL support after purchase !!

Dell India doesn't have them. They process your request and the disks are shipped (for US customers) from Austin, Texas.
