My sister and I both have new Dell laptops (her Inspiron 1525, me 1420) with built-in web cams. (She's in NY and I'm in LA.) Can anyone recommend good video conferencing software so we can use our web cams to chat? (We both have high speed internet).

AIM works fine and is actually better than Skype I find in terms of keeping the frames per second up. I use it to chat with friends and sometimes my sister (I have 1520, she has 1420).

I've been video conferencing with my brother, who's in Dallas (I'm in Los Angeles, as well) using Skype, and haven't had any issues. Works great for me.

Haven't tried AIM, so I can't really say which is better.
