I've been noticing that when my D620 is running on battery power, there seems to be a problem with my wireless connection to the internet. Immediately, there is a significant slowdown in the opening of pages (sometimes, pages won't load at all). Also, there is a small high-frequency noise that starts as soon as I unplug the cord. Both of these things are solved as soon as I plug in the cord: the pages start loading quickly as before, and the noise disappears. It doesn't matter whether I'm using Windows Zero Config or Intel's software.

I have the A06 bios, and the latest Intel 3945 software (Dec. 1).

Anybody with the same experience and/or solution?

Follow-up: I just updated to the A07 bios. When I unplug the cord, the noise is no longer there, but the slow internet connection problem persists.

I get the same whining noise when on battery. Way annoying! I have no issues with WiFi -- it's super fast either way. I'll post back here if I get to the bottom of the noise issue. I'm checking the BIOS version but as of 3 weeks ago when I got the unit, it was the latest. I'm pretty sure it was A07.

The A08 bios does the trick for me--it seems they fixed the acpi tables...
