I recently sent in my Inspiron 710m to get the right-speaker fixed and on the work order it says they replaced the whole screen. Now though, this weird thing happens sometimes. The image looks like it shifts into 8-bit mode or DOS or something. You see what's there, but there's green hue and it looks like it shifted to the right. One time I banged the screen and it went back to normal, but hitting it doesn't always fix it. Even rebooting it won't make it go away because I still see the issue during the BIOS bootup. Any ideas what it could be?

P.S. Is it just me or did the Search function disappear?

Call Dell and let them know what happened with your screen, and yes the search function has temporarily been removed.

Yeah call them up and have it fixed again. Sounds like a cable or connection is lose.
