    Scheduled to ship today, got the word finally from dell today that it's been delayed to Aug 2nd . . . /cry

    Hm I wonder if mine is going to be delayed too. Was supposed to be shipped today but the phone order status is still saying its in the build stage. So In a little bit im going to go call them up or go on chat to see whats up.

    yep just talked to dell and now mine is delayed till the 2nd. So there is a lcd screen shortage for the WSXGA+ screen.

    I wonder what's holding us up. So far I have heard so many things, from the keyboards to the 7,200RPM hard drives being backordered. I'm almost certian the blue color is backordered (shows on order site).

    I was personally told the WSXGA+ screen is backordered. The other time I was told multiple parts of mine were backordered.

    Just looked at my account page for the order and it says next Next Business Day for shipping and I didnt even ask about it or did the person mention it. So it just changed once I got done talking but the weird thing is the shipping date is still today with the delivery date tomorrow. I wish that could be true :(

    That's not bad, I just received a voicemail saying mine is delayed until Aug 24. Ordered July 16, pink must be a hot colour!

    jeez Joy that's horrible. I feel for you completely. My original order from dell was may 14th, and my laptop just came this week.

    On a plus note, these delays do entitle you to ask about gettiing a free messenger bag for your trouble. Just say something along the lines of you saw on a forum some people were getting a free bag for their troubles... Mine just shipped today. :D
