My grandmom had ordered my inspiron 1520 for a grad present back on the august the 1st....or so I thought. lol. I've been really excited about it and was actually hoping to get in in early this week as I ordered just the basic screen and the less popular alpine white lid. So I was bored tonight and I noticed on how I could just type her information in on the dell page to get my order status.

The first thing I notice is just a huge let down. It is "In production". Does this mean it could be awaiting a screen or something? Then after that I notice a second letdown... Not only is it still in production yet she didn't even select the right processor. She got the 2 ghz instead of the 2.2 ghz. From what I here there is hardly a difference even between the two so I am going to try and not worry about that. However that does bring up something I was worried about when I sent her the specs for it. I mean I pretty much sent the specs in like tripple bold print so there is no telling what else could be wrong lol? I might end up with a 1.5 ghz flamingo pink laptop delayed all the way until october lol..? Also one more thing is I noticed she ordered it the day after I sent the email so the dell coupon I sent had expired so she probably lost out on 300$ which is a bad loss.

I managed to get the Dell purchace ID, Order Number, and the Customer Number so is there any way that I can check and confirm the actual specs she ordered on the laptop?

If not I really hate to be rude but do you guys think I should phone her up tommorow and run over there and cancel the order, redo it and just wait it out another month? If I did that I might just jack up the price and get like a 1720 or something lol. thanks

Ok chelet thankyou for completely ignoring my entire post and just spitting random pointless information out your ***. Yeah I think I am definitely going to reorder. They are pretty wealthy but I'm not gonna order two of them. They just bought like a 4000$ xps desktop though and my mom told me tonight that my cousin spent around 2 grand on his laptop for grad. So can anyone say M1710 FTW?
