I've been trying to order a laptop for a while. Really the only thing stopping me is I would like to get a 6 month no interest financing deal which they haven't offered on what I want which is fine. This last time they tell me it's not offered on the studio 15 with the new centrino processor but he tells me he can configure one for a BIG savings. Well the one he puts together doesn't have the Centrino processor and it's almost $300 more. NICE.

    Centrino isn't a processor, it's a group of technologies.
Centrino = Intel CPU, Intel chipset, and Intel Wireless.

Try again, you can usually get a decent deal through a rep.

Oops, good catch. I was referring to the most recent version of their processor which Dell has been somewhat lagging implementing. Anywho, you get the idea. I might ask you though, are you saying some reps may be able to offer me the financing I want even though they aren't offering any on the studio line of laptops?

    thanks.

If you don't get what you want from a sales rep, it's always worth trying a different one. If nothing else, you'll know whether or not they're being honest or just trying to up their comission. (-:
