I put a blank CD ROM in the drive, the OS tells me it's there, asks if I want to open a writable folder. I click yes - then I get an error message that the drive is unavailable. Anyone have any ideas?

Nobody knows? Is the drive buggered? I've heard that the DVD/CD drives in these things were crap to begin with...
