I have an old Inspiron 510M 1.7 ghz which I would like to fix and give to my nephew. It now runs very hot and makes alot of noise. The fan seems be running all the time and making lots of noise.

My question is this worth repairing ?

Could I do it my self ?

Or would I be better getting a fixed price repair ?

If its just a question of replacing the fan and/or the cpu is this easy to do and relatively cheap fix.

I would like to have a go and try fix this myself if possible.

    thanks for your help =]

You probably only need to go through the cooling guide and clean out the system.
