Well, I am a fairly long Dell customer (first PC was in 1997 ordered over the phone) You could have options online, but order over the phone.
So I seen/experienced what made dell great and later on being twenty times transferred to mindless script reading non English speaking CSRs.
Well i just looked at that and laughed. this laptop was at IT desk since an employee ran it over with the car :).
I am sorry but I found this funny. But since it is a "dell customer service Issues"... this laptop carries Complete care :).... thanks dell. so I will not go off on Dell, I will vote with my wallet :) so far with all the delays, lost orders, delayed shipping, accessory line never has anything in stock i am still coming back.

I just hope that a few of you might crack a smile and just cheer up. it is a hump day :)

    cheers

... i believe by disclosing the true price, i will upset a number of members here ( who wants to hear that you could have haggled better and get a better price) so I'd rather not. the spec'ed price was about 5200+ tax and shipping... we all can do math epp (7%), DPA (4%) and haggling (?%)...well that's something that i'd rather not disclose...
so with that said the M17X would be in tomorrow, and since i am first on the route for fedex and the guy lives 3 houses over, i just gonna wait for my toy :) before heading to the office :)

Lol.. i dont know why im confused with your story. I was assuming this was someone else who had there laptop ran over. After you started mentioning your new laptop on order im wondering if your laptop got ran over and this is a completecare replacement. Is your new laptop on order a completecare replacement?

nah, I can run over something on purpose (well I ran my nokia repeatedly with my jeep while standing on the traffic light since i was that pissed at phone/AT&T connection) but "accidentally" run over laptop...nah not computing in my head. I was asked about my laptop in my sig. MY latitude is ok :) wonna picture? alienware is just another toy, that replaces mys XPS G2.
I was just tying to cheer folks up.... in a cruew and unusual way i find this funny (someone so brain dead that can run over the freaking laptop)... well I was not there and can't really pass the judgment. But i crack a smile at cracked laptop :)
