Well I just can't keep up; my pockets simply aren't deep enough to upgrade to the next best notebook. I still enjoy my 9200, and it still serves me very well, but sometimes I think, "If only it had a mic, webcam and built-in TV tuner, it would then be comparable to something new I would buy."

The mic & webcam mods are in the works, but there's one mod I would really love to try out, and that's to install a permanent USB TV Tuner.
For those who have been inside a 9200 or 9300, you might recall that the left side USB ports are a separate circuit board screwed to the chassis and cabled to the motherboard. There's not a lot of room in the cavity there, but for the more creative folks there just might be enough to work with, given the right USB Tuner, of course.

My proposition is to remove the double USB miniboard, mod the square hole that is left by cutting out the separator, and install a USB TV tuner inside with the cable port in place of where the USB ports were.

Can anyone recommend a decent tuner that is small enough (and good quality) that might be conducive to this type of "crammage"?
