I just reformated my e1405 and replaced the media center edition with Win Xp pro following the instructions of southerngirl.

but now when i open the task menager it shows only one core.
i noticed before i reinstall that windows MCE used to show the two cores, now it shows only one. i checked in bios setup everything is okay - dual channel and dual core support are enabled. what do i have to do to get the two core advatange?

Do you have one graph for all CPUs or one per CPU? Select the Performance tab and then View -> CPU History.
