The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. I'm not lazy. I know I've seen it before, but after an hour of searching I'm starting to think I'm using the wrong "keywords" to bring it up.

XP Home, reformat.. Installed XP MC. Now I get the select OS at startup. I know Home is gone with the reformat, I just can't remember what I need to edit to get it gone.

Someone has asked this before, and I read the thread, but now that I need it, I can't find it.

Zoomy is right, but for a little bit more specific directions:
right click on my computer --> proprieties-->advanced-->startup and recovery section-->settings-->edit-->delete the line that starts with multi--> save file and exit
