Well... I was a little careless with my glass of water, and it tipped over and spilled about 20cc's of water onto the keyboard.
I dabbed it off and luckily, no sparks or dysfunction occurred. I don't know what the threshold volume is to knock it out of commission but 20 cc's was not it.
I knew I had a reason for buying this notebook.

Well that’s good news it didn't kill your keyboard. I have spilt water on my desktop keyboard a couple times, but not on a notebook. It might sound funny but once I unplugged the keyboard, shook the water out, then I hung it up on the close line.... hey it worked.

i've spilled vodka on my desktop keyboard before and it wiped it out

luckily your notebook didnt die -
I am happy that the D620 features a 'spill proof' keyboard. Now when Computer shopper featured the 'durable notebooks', it did go out of commission with 50 cc of water. But 20 cc of water did nothing to mine.
If you are a clumsy person, then I recommend a Latitude or Panasonic toughbook.
I will probably buy the Panasonic Y5 when it comes out in the states. I am a member of Club panasonic that gives me 10 % off. -
Glad to hear that ur laptop's still working.
I love how the D620 comes with spill proof keyboard features.
I'm a natural klutz, so that's an awesome feature for me.

Ive spilled water on my E1505 twice and beer once. Kinda scares you at first but once I knew my comp was ok I was just mad that I spilled my beer.
Oops! Spilled water on the keyboard!
