I like the 12.1" screen but don't like a small keyboard. I prefer 4:3 ratio,,,

How is the battery life on both? Clarity of the screen?

    your thoughts please.

    Thank you

There is reviews for both in the reviews section if you want to look. Might want to look at something like ThinkPad x32 which will offer better build quality and keyboard than Dell. Good Luck.

Both D410 and D610 are standard ratio screens. D610 has full-size keyboard as for D810. There is a very positive review of the D410 here: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2405.
These are well-built, well designed notebooks, like all of the new Latitude line. Your decision should be mostly one of portability. The D610 is medium size, the D410 smaller.

    Thanks for replying.

I saw both reviews....one thing that scares me is that the D410 keyboard maybe too small where the right shift etc is easy to miss. I had an Asus Z33 which I loved except for the keyboard and bad battery life (1:45)

I guess like a lot of people I want the D410 with a bigger keyboard....yeah right the laws of physics.

The IBM brand is out for me....the X series has no touchpad.....and their product, for me, is expensive without giving a lot pf processor, ram etc...

So the question remains is the d410 keyboard too small? Is the battery life of the D610 low?

All my office and home computers are Dell....so yes I like the company.

    Thank you

    Elliot

Thats great and all, but he didnt ask about Thinkpads :) maybe he likes a little bit of style with his lappy and not a black box with the words IBM stamped on it. :) hehe

I went ahead yesterday and purchased the D610 when there was still time to use a $400 off coupon. Before that, i went to the local mall and visited the Dell Kiosk. The Dell 12" Dell they had there, the keyboard was way too small. I liked the size of the 14" monitor better. Since they only offer the inspiron line at the local Dell stores, I was able to talk to a salesman and make up my mind on the D610. Luckily i had enough time to get the $400 off!

True, but he wants a good keyboard and ThinkPads are the best. Just a suggestion.
