Is there another Dell e-mail address that I could use where I would be more likely to receive a response back? I have e-mailed the customer service twice by going to the 'Contact Us' link at the top of the page and filling out the form. I haven't had any luck by doing this and am starting to wonder just who reads those e-mails.

Live Chat is not an option now, and I cannot call until late. The last time I called once I got off of work I was disconnected or sent to a closed department.

My question is, is the 'Contact Us' link at the top of the page the only way to e-mail Dell?

they're contact options are pretty stupid. its like they're trying to avoid contact or something. i e-mail then and i got a auto reply saying your e-mail has been receive aprox 1 business day for a reply, then a day i get a reply back that looks like another automatic reply and not typed by a real person.

calling dell, its automated for me and tells me to enter info on the phone when i tried to restore my dell account. account not found. i ended up closing my account.

    way to go dell!

Yup...got that right. There's plenty of companies that don't want you to contact them and go out of their way to make it practically impossible to do so.

I asked one rep on an online chat session if there was a number I could call to talk to someone in the US about my problem I was having with Dell and was told that they don't have that information available. You're stuck talking to India

If you're receiving nothing back going through the regular customer service route, I'd suggest you make that known to Lionel Menchaca, who is in charge of their blog team. He's been very good to respond to customers in special cases, such as when not receiving proper service from the regular customer service department. His email's at the bottom of the linked page.

bizzer, please let us know if you get a response

    Thanks, chuck

I get off of work pretty early today, so I guess I'll try calling one more time. If I don't get anywhere I believe I'll just cancel my order, though.

E-mailing Dell Customer Care is almost pointless.

I sent an reply e-mail, following their instructions not to modify the subject line even, on my initial inquiry. All I asked for was an update and if anything could be done to get it shipped to arrive by 8/21/07. What I got back made no sense - I was told my ESD was on or before 7/31/07 and that it will probably ship earlier. Also, that I can check the status online .. blah .. blah .. blah ...

Nice job Dell, but I think 7/31/07 was two weeks ago at least?

Don't know how Dell can be contacted to speak to someone (a real person) that's not using a script of some kind.
