    Just got my email saying my order was delayed :-( It was supposed to be here today now its the 2/23. It seems like almost everyone in this forum is getting their order delayed. Dell must really be short handed or short of supply.

    What did you order? RGBLEDs are in seriously short supply. Could also do with the Chinese New Year holidays when many suppliers in China close for a week or two interrupting supply.

    Short supply of other components is also related to the severe shrinkage computer suppliers went through in 2009. They kinda overdid it and now demand is outstripping supply.

    Just keep on waiting. I'm entering week 4 here.

    That's only on higher-end laptops.

    Dell has been having a bunch of supply issues so hopefully they'll resolve it soon for you.

    Yeah its kinda funny but I was thinking after seeing all these delays I was glad I ordered a standard Latitude and nothing fancy, thinking my order will never be delayed. Oh well...If they delay it pasted the 23rd I'll probably cancel and go with another manufacturer

    Got a good piece of news Sunday. They shipped my order. Should be here by Friday according to the tracking number. I wonder why they would first say its delayed till the 24th then ship it anyway..

    Good news!!

    I placed a order yesterday for Inspiron 1562 standard and got march 3rd EDD today but had to cancel and reorder today as my billing addy has changed. Hope it aint really a 16 day wait.

    Order now is Work In Progress
    Hoping for it go into Production tomorrow.
    Guy from Dell who called me said I should have it in 5 - 7 days although the EDD is 16 days.

    Sorry to hijack this thread ha ha

    It seems like they gave us the same 16 day EDD.
    Mine still says Work in Progress atm @ 10am, lets hope it goes into production today.

    My laptop is build by dell and already arrived in australia, but the carrier employed by dell just WILL NOT DELIVER IT!

    Well I got my laptop yesterday. And I love it. Its everything I wanted. I also put a SSD drive in it. The crucial 64MB which I got for $180 shipped. Dam is this thing fast. Windows 7 boots in less than 10 seconds. All my apps launch at mach speed really nice. The only thing I would dinge it for is the thickness of it. Its rather thick compared to other 14 inch laptops. But that's about it.
