    Glad the upgrades are shipping, however what about the poor people who bought a PC the night of June 25 lol. IMO I think they should of done it effective Jan 1, 2009 because Windows 7 was in beta and things were on schedule. Oh well.

    win7.dell.com creeping this morning... unable to load page...looks like a lot of people want to upgrade ... funny what about people who bought vista crap shouldnt they be compensated ? Anyways who knows .. to me 7 also is on the same lines. ..

    I haven't even gotten an estimated ship date yet. Does anybody know anything about the processing time on this?

    HCW What method of shipment is dell using (next business day, ground.. etc).

    :mad: I don't know what happened with my password... it's not working... and Password Recovery page is broken!! and the worse thing is that I reported it to them and only received a stupid response "Refer to FAQ or call phone support"!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

    yes its too slow .. almost like 1-2 mins for loading one page .. looks like they are running windows 7 ;-)
    .. anyways looks like HCW is the only one who has shipped .. i am still seeing nothing .. it shows order number and date ordered, thats it ..

    i think if i see their release schedule, looks like they will start their shipping only on October 26th, so it cannot ship before that, looks like HCW is seeing something wrong ... or maybe dell is just confused, they opened the floodgates without thinking of the consequences.

    Yet another case.
    For some unknown reason, page randomly is "braking" a users passwords. And yes, pass recovery script is not working. It never worked in fact. This issue is known by Dell from about two months. I found this long time ago (yes, I have one account lost that way - and my TAG is locked, and I can't order my upgrade kit :mad: ). Mailed many times, usualy answer is coming from nobody (automatic). Once someone wrote me they know that issue and working on it... that was more than month ago.
    There are lot of people who has the same - password is not working and they have blocked for upgrade because his TAG is already registered (in his broken accounts). Seems Dell is doing nothing with that.

    BTW orderd upgrade for my another two laptops (I have 3 in family) - 35USD for each kit (will came in one parcel). "Free" is not so free in the EU.

    EDIT:
    I resolved my problem that way:
    Dell lead me to Win7 customer support (in my national lang, so I suppose it is local). They couldn't restore or reset my password, but when I proved I'm right owner of my service tag, they were able to delete TAG from database of Win7 registration program. This way I could register it again (making another account).
