Anyone else (in the US) stuck on order processing?

I have ordered probably 15 dell laptops over the years using my DPA account and they always go to In Production status fairly quickly.

Anyway, just wanted to see if I'm alone :)

Yes, check in the morning...maybe around 9:30am ish! The system may have further updates overnight. And, you may have found yourself moved out of that stage! ;)

    Good luck!

Well, my My Account page lists it as pre-production but the detailed order status page says in production.. lol

    Go figure!

Call a Rep, and get the *detailed info* on exactly where you are (and get e-mail sent to you w/Case Number), that details the convo you had.

It's confusing when it's stated like that... :(

I checked the phone order status just for the heck of it and it says order processing!

So phone = order processing, my acct = pre-production, detailed order status page = in production

    This is nuts!!!

Yes, truly I don't think they have ever been *in sync* with each other!!

I still think you should call and get the info' from a Rep... :D

Dell's gotten worse over the years.

In case anyone wants to know, once your order is in production you cannot cancel it.

The rep will feed you a line of BS and tell you the order is "locked" and can't be cancelled.

The only option, as she put it, was to return it within the 21 day return period.

I probably could have argued w/ her for a while and spoke to numerous managers, but I have something better I'll do since they think they are jerking me around!

    Lame, Dell.... VERY lame :(

Wow. I never knew that. That seems pretty awful that you can't cancel once you are in production.

Yep. A sleazy tactic by Dell to try and let the buyer think about keeping the laptop once you get it.

It's smart on their part, but terrible customer-relationship wise.....

That's incredibly bad that some Reps are doing that...You are supposed to be able to cancel your order prior to it reach the shipping stage.

Ack. Don't like hearing these types of bad customer service...
Sorry you had to go thru it...You can always complete the Unresolved Issues for online, or send some e-mails to Dell Corp', peeps have had luck with that!

Yeah, I have worked with some higher level ppl at Dell before, but I don't feel like getting tired and frustrated over this.

No biggy - if they want to waste their time building and shipping a system, I'll play along :)
