Man, hate the Canadian order status page.... can't even signup for email updates, the target page is not working (Points to sms.shopdell.ca which is not a valid domain)...
You guys think my laptop will ship in time? :S

I hear your pain. I'm from Canada too. However, there is something not every one knows.. When assigned a canadian order number from Dell, you are also assigned a hidden "AMF" american Dell order number, which you can use to track your order through the USA web site (more accurate). A sales rep. or customer care rep. could provide you with your equivalent AMF order number.

How did you get the American Order number? I asked for it on Dell chat but CS rep said they can't give it out.

I talked to a CSR named Craig as well....told me that it is an internal number and cant be given out
EDIT: I spoke with another CSR and she gave me the AMF#. But in order to check the status of my order on the US dell website, I need a second piece of information as well - PO number, link number, customer number, or ZIP code which I dont have. Where can i get them? -
I managed to get my American order nbr by phoning in, but I have been unable to get my American customer nbr.

If you look on your Dell.ca "My Account" page and go to order history/recent orders, you should see the PO number listed. You should be able to use that.

i checked "my account"page on dell.ca but I dont see the PO number. Its probably only for US orders
