Order status question

My status just updated from "In production" to "Delivery preparation" .. I ordered from Dell.ca btw

Also I got an email saying it was shipped today... so does "delivery preparation" comes after or before shipped?? I was thinking it's about to be delivered..

 

I think if you don't get a tracking number from Dell that it still hasn't been shipped and that it's being prepared to be shipped.

delivery prep means it's on its way to your local courier. You will receive a tracking number shortly.

 

if i'm in canada..it means ill have to wait like another week until i get tracking number??

 

My thinking is that getting the shipping email means the order is ready to ship.

I assume that it will be picked by the courier on Monday, at which point we will get a tracking number.

According to Dell it can then take 5-7 business days to be delivered but from what I understand it's normally less then that, closer to 3-5 days. I think they say 5-7 because it has to clear customs, but i imagine that enough packages go through from Dell that they probably get through pretty quick.

That said My hope is that it will ship Monday and arrive by the end of the week. If nothing else at least we know it's shipping and should be on it's way soon.
