Hey guys, I want to order a SXPS16, but am also interested in the XPS M1530. Since there's a promotion on the SXPS today I would like to order one, but am wondering how much time I have to cancel my order before it ships? What about once it's delivered? How much time do I have then in case I get it and don't like it? Thanks for any help. Wish my local BB carried the SXPS16.....

Dell's standard return policy is 21 days from date of purchase, meaning the date you submitted your order, not the date they took your payment.
I also don't see why Best Buy doesn't have the Studio XPS 16. The one near my home has a Studio XPS 13, but not 16, and yet they have the Studio 15 and 17, and all the Inspiron and XPS models. :/ -
You can cancel your order up until it is about to hit the shipping stage. I have heard from numerous peeps on the forum that the Reps have told them when attempting to cancel (even in the Build stage, or testing stage), they cannot cancel..and that is wrong.
Once, its delivered..you fall back upon the 21 days..of date of invoice...hence..the clock is ticking...

I've never had to deal with the return policy (knock on wood!), I'm just going off of what I've been told by people who have. Sounds like someone I know got scammed. >_< -
It just seem that would be more fair..for all consumers.

Thanks for the info guys. Yeah, I don't know why 21 days.. make it a month :S
Btw, a couple weeks ago I was about to order a notebook from dell and the rep told me I had a VERY limited amount of time to cancel after I place my order and before it's in the shipping stage. After that I would have to pay a restocking fee. lol
