Yesterday I spent my whole day waiting for the delivery that never came. I was checking "order status" yesterdays where it said that the parcel is still in depot (In London,an hour away from where I live and its been there since Saturday morning.)
Today I when I checked "order status" its stated "Delivered - My surname" "13:00 - 17/10/2011".
And does anyone know who BPO are ? (BPO - Greenford, Uk)

Called them up today.. they said "Its been delivered to you and you have signed for it" Now they have opened an investigation which takes another 2 days....

So, apparently the laptop was delivered to wrong address and they have signed for it. Now Dell has ordered another laptop from the factory which will take another 2 weeks. ( they offered me a small discount though, I'd rather prefer my laptop being delivered without mistakes and in much shorter time )

Yup, and in the USA if you get something that you didn't order, and the company doesn't ask for it back in a reasonable period of time, congrats it yours. I got about 5 years ago a non-desired M6300 with a Dell Color Laser Printer that I ordered, and being a good soul I returned the m6300 to them at my expense. I wound up being accused of theft and have as a result been going through 4-plus years of DELL attempting to collect the price of that laptop even though they ascertained that it came back to them, AND i showed them my original order slip. Looking back on it, I should have just kept it and perhaps all this legal back-and-forth that I have had with DELL and their third-party collectors would have never happened.

I called them up yesterday (10 days after my first call, regarding undelivered item).
So, I explained the agent everything from the beginning, giving him the reference number of my 1st call. After a few minutes on the hold he tells me that "I'm afraid sir, that your replacement hasn't been ordered yet as we think that the laptop was delivered to you. The delivering company had some problems getting hold of the proof of signature."
After arguing with him for another few minutes. He tells me that since it was a referb. laptop they now have to find a similar laptop that will satisfy my req.
It's been 23 days now since I ordered the laptop. I paid straight away in full and did everything that was required from my side. It just ridiculous what customer service you get for all that money you pay. -
Another update.... After a few calls to the CS manager, they have finally confirmed and placed an order for the replacement system. As they don't have the same model at dell_outlet,they will be sending a new system.
Well, I think its quite fair for them giving me a new laptop for the 2 month waiting and few hours on the phone.
Order status "Delivered" but in it hasn't been.
