    Order to Delivery Turn around time for Dell

    I was wondering what your experiences were in the lenght of time needed to get your computer.

    I placed my order on the 7th which is Thursday morning (yesterday) and it says I will get it around the 18th-20th. I was wondering what are my odds of getting it sooner than the estimate.

    Btw, my order is a E1405 with
    - Core 2 Duo 1.6Ghz
    - 2GB RAM
    - 120GB HD
    - DVD Burner
    - 9 Cell Battery
    - WiFi + Bluetooth

    I paid around $1100, which is not a bad deal I think. I was contemplating going with 512MB RAM and buying 2GB on NewEgg but it came out only to a few dollar difference and I figure it's nicer to just have it preinstalled so that I don't have any issues down the line with their warranty.

    Dell's delivery estimates (at least from my experience) have been very accurate and often arrive the exact day they quote (give or take). So if they say the 18th to 20th, expect it on the 18th to 20th.

    i ordered a e1505 on the 4th of this month, it said estimated ship date the 12th, i already got my tracking number and it is supposed to be delivered at my door on the 12th, thats like 6 days sooner than it estimated when i ordered.

    Just hope UPS does not loose the package. I just got a call from Dell saying the package has been lost and that I will have to reorder.
