    ROFL I ordered a Inspiron 1501 on Aug.6.2007, My Current status says that it was shipped on July 28,1998...

    hmmm, don't know then, that has happen to others on the board and it was bc they were off on their order #, even by just one #

    Yeah dude that number doesn't work in Canada.

    I ordered mine on the 23rd of July and I called that number as well like 2 days ago. I heard her say "shipped" and I swear I almost crapped my pants, that is, until she said July 7 1998.

    Sorry, but you gotta work with that online order status. (mine still says that its going to be shipped on Aug 6 -_-)

    I called this 800 number as well. They also told me that my order was shipped July 28th 1998. I am in Canada though.
    I ordered a 1521 on August 8th. Its "In Production" now. Don't know if the website updates each stage of Production one by one or as a whole yet though. My ESD isn't until Sept.10.
    I also ordered a wireless router, which ESD was Aug 17 and I checked Puralator and it said it was on the truck for delivery. What good is this to me if I dont have a computer to use with it!!

    You can't check the specific stage of production in Canada.

    Which wireless router did you order? I ordered a Belkin N1 Wireless-N Router and it's taking forever to ship. Supposedly, it's on back-order.

    I got the WPN824 RangeMax Wireless MIMO Router.

    Its just annoying cause I am going to school and need this computer. I know of people who ordered from Dell before and said it took 10 days tops, so I figured it would be quick. Not over a month. I did get the Midnight Blue, but that only takes a few days extra, doesn't make up for the month yet. I want to call Dell, but don't want to call them too too soon and complain.

    No, that's impossible.

    It obviously got delayed so long that by the time they built it, time machines had already been invented, so they shipped it to the past.

    I ordered on 8/6. and my printer came 1 day later and the software came 2 days later. I agree as far as "Why use it??" and the lappy is suppose to come later. lol.. well i am grateful that I did recive the printer and software :)
