    Hi folks,

I took the plunge and ordered a Studio 15' during the Days of Deals promotion. When I got to check out, I was required to purchase "90 Watt Spare AC Adaptor, 3 WIRE, Cust". I couldn't remove it from the cart, so I assumed this was my primary power adapter to go along with the laptop. However, when I go to configure the exact same laptop now, the adaptor isn't part of the ordering screen.

For anyone who knows: Is the 'spare' adaptor supposed to be my primary one, or did I somehow actually get a spare one that I don't need foisted off on me for $66?

I doubt the spare one is the primary one. Sounds like perhaps it was part of the "deal" but call Customer Service and inquire. Often times talking to a live person will help resolve an issue.

    Good luck.

It was an extra adapter and not your primary adapter. The extra adapter was removable, all you needed to do was click through the compatibility errors and it would allow you to save it to your cart.

I highly doubt Dell will allow you to remove it as it was supposed to be a required item in order to get the deal. Dell usually doesn't have the adapter\battery as a separate line item unless they are extra.
