Hi, Thanks I actually had to send the laptop back due to defects with the alienware lighting flickering and dimmed out on one side in the 4k panel which was excellent I may add. A noisy cpu whine but did pass diagnostics, and the front right speaker which came distorted and sounded blown even at low levels. Also the 980m and the intel hd530 graphics were conflicting causing really bad diagonal screen tearing issues while trying to use some heavy load engineering software and gaming, really bummed out. Hoping to possibly purchase an aurora r5 once the return has finalized. Let me know what you think, I want to stay around $1700 at the most and configured a pretty nice setup.

A major problem people should be aware of. Optimus technology controls the graphics cards and can not be changed from what I read. In this link it really shocked me that microsoft knows about it and did not resolve the problem with windows 10 on their end.

Nvidia is pointing the finger at microsoft and microsoft at first pointed back and finally admitted to the problem with windows 10 being at fault.

So far Dell/Alienware have been very good at understanding my issues and offered to repair the lighting zone in the screen and the front right speaker or send me a totally new unit. I had to respectfully decline because of the issue with windows 10 and the graphics cards which in my case rendered the notebook only good for multimedia like browsing the internet and basic tasks that can be done on a much lesser priced unit : ( please give me your opinion I really appreciate you responding to my post and agree with your link, that being said thanks again and sorry about the long reply but just want people to know about the graphics problem...
