    Alright deal?

I'm still pretty worried about the LCD having major light leakage and ununified lighting when I get the laptop. Is there a way to ask for a replacement if that happens? What are the good LCD manufactures for the WSXGA+ screens (1680x1050)?

    Thanks

I thought the glossy WSXGA+ n100 looked pretty good, but it did have a bit of leakage.

Yes that is a good deal, especially with the 2-yr warranty and 100GB 7200RPM drive.

Sorry about that. I forgot to put the decimal after the 8 :p
it's $8.00 additional state-environmental fee that we californians havta pay.

yeah. i fixed on the post now.

Anyways, thx for the info about the lcd panels. A lil light leakage won't hurt, as it occurs in all the LCDs today 'cause the inverter is placed at the bottom.
I'm more worried about the lighting not being uniformly spread throughout the entire LCD, that's all.
