I think that is a very reasonable price considering your specs.

Yes, I think you did quite well. Have fun with the 7800 :). The only thing I would upgrade is the battery. The 6 cell won't get you much time. I think around 2 hrs?

    I just explained lol!

The home user method equates this to around 2000$ which is insane.

PLUS, with EPP, I always get to talk with somebody in less than 2minutes hehe.

yeah I am a bit disappointed I myself did not wait to buy the notebook until now. I got a 80 gig hd, and mostly i got less things, and spent $2600.00 + tax on mine.

Be greatful is all I will say.

FYI, I went to my local Dell outlet store and had them price the E1705, which turned out to be the same price as I got via the Dell Home and Office page. When I mentioned I could also get an additional discount of $140 (which was what I saw when building the machine via the EPP page), they offered me an additional 10% discount if I purchased at the storee (which for my E1705 build amounted to $250 USD => i.e., more than the $140 EPP discount.)

I purchased the E1705 via the Dell outlet store. Final cost before handling and state tax: $2095 USD.

i have been looking at the e1750 for sometime and plan on purchasing one soon. i am a student so i used the coupon code you gave and got the 30% off. I am debating if i should purchase it before for the 31st which is when the coupon expires, or if Dell is pretty consistent about releasing their coupons for students and i can purchase it at my leisure. thoughts?

It looks like it's actually available until Feb. 1st. However, when using the coupon, I actually lose money because the current % off is better than the coupon and they can't be comined. From I've read on other threads, the Dell coupons have been coming every 1 or 2 weeks for about a year.

Oh cool, it does up the %age. Nice. It's technically not just for students. It's for those with the "Employee and Affiliates Purchase Program." I'm getting the discount through my work. It's the same as the student discount though.

Why is this 30% coupon not on the Dell Coupons page of this site? I'm really about to pull the trigger on this too because I'm able to get the same deal as the original poster. I don't want to blow the chance.

Dude...I know exactly what your talking about...more than you think.

Fedex setup a nice stunt...some jackass apparently delivered a 5000$ nikon camera to my house, signed with my name...with my stolen credit card number. Apparently. HAH. I never ordered it. Nor even saw fedex that day. And UPS delivered my xbox 360 to my neighbor, who opened it..not to mention those 3 pocket pcs from ebay and amazon. Sigh.

FU UPS AND FEDEX. DHL has yet to screw me over.

Man! I just ordered my E1705 and just used the $650 off coupon. But seeing as how I'm not a student this semester I guess it would not be right to use the 30% off deal. How did you get it down to $1430?
