First off I apologize if there already was a thread for new E1705 buyers, but I didn't see one. Anyhow I'd like to thank several people here for making the whole process a lot easier. ChazMan421's graphics card review thread:

Dell having the X1400 listed without the 7800 (until just recently) left me initially assuming it offered nearly the same performance. Coming here helped me see otherwise. I ended up waiting for something better than the X1400 to be offered again, and once it was in combination with the great coupons I decided to get one.

Thanks for making such a helpful thread for those Dell owners who would rather not have several software packages installed they don't want and/or need.

Lastly Knifes' posts about the $100 coupon code in addition to the $750 off a $1999 Inspiron notebook was a *great* find. Here again is one link mentioning it since it doesn't seem to be listed on the Dell Coupons main section:

Finally if anyone was considering using Dell to upgrade the memory I would say buy some from a vendor such as Newegg instead (if you're willing to be responsible for it's installation of course). I bought two 1 GB 667 MHz sticks for way less than Dell was wanting for 2 GBs. You all are *awesome*.
