    Ordering Vostro 1500...one question

    I am in the process of ordering my Vostro. I hear you can request Vista Premium rather than Business if I order over the phone, but they are closed now :( I want to order my computer before this great deal that they have going on expires, so, can I order it online now and then call in tomorrow and make the change? Or should I just wait out?

    I have no clue. That is why I'm on the brink of ordering it now. I am debating whether or not to jump down to the 1.6 and adding ULTIMATE so I can get it now. ha

    I'm thinking the 1.6 will be fine really, especially with the 8600GT and 2gb of DDR2. Plus I get Ultimate ha.

    Hey, it's your money...just do it. I am coming from a Mac, haven't used windows for awhle :) We'll see how this works out ha. I'll post a review and tons of pictures once it arrives. For now it is doing as much research as I can as far as what to do initially.

    Lets hope I don't have any quality control issues.

    no problem, I dont have a credit card :( im still going to though but im on vacataion and my dad didnt come and my mom wont let me get it without his permission, I get back monday so I hope the deal lasts that long. What was your old mac? I bet this will blow it away, maybe not OS wise but performance wise. And this wait for it to come is going to be a biach, lol.

    Oh yea it is. Powerbook g4 1.5ghz 12". I'm on my 20" iMac G5 2.0ghz and this thing will seem SLOW compared to that I bet. I have heard nothing but good things about the Core 2 Duo's.

    ya I'm double posting, kill me.

    Ok, I was looking around endlessly customizing vostros (you know how it is) and I noticed that when you pick Vostro 1500 if you pick the "Better" Bundle it is the same exact thing as the "Free 120GB Hardrive and webcam" They both come with the exact same things for the exact same price. I wonder why its in the deals section.
