Is it possible to order incomplete systems from Dell? I'm thinking of picking up a M1330 but don't need memory or a harddrive as I'm planning to upgrade those myself.

Also, any idea what Dell's product cycles are like? The M1330 came out June I think, so I'm wondering if I should hold off on the follow up or take advantage of a slow post-holiday sales to haggle a deal?

You could select the cheapest options, then replace them with your own, and sell the original ones on ebay
