Ordred 14 Inch studio (takes a month to ship)???? what gives

Good day everyone I just ordred a Dell Studio 14z see config below..... I ordred it on 15 June 2009. I got the Acknowlegement and Confirmaiton email then I checked the status online it says processing and that the estimated delivery date is 22 July 2009. Please explain this to me... it can't possibly take that long to assemble and ship a laptop.....I wanted the Dell wireless N card and when I ordred at first it said it would ship on June 28, 2009 when I changed the option to the Dell wirelss N card the shipping changed to 21 July 2009 now it says 22 Jul 2009..... is this normal... Do I really have to wait a month and if so how can I just cancel the order and go buy a Mac Book.

And, the ESD is usually always over projected..to protect from the great, obnoxious...potential delays in production. It usually will ship ahead of the ESD!!

Your in production..so thats good...just try and be a bit more patient.

That 14 is nice looking, will you provide some pics after you received it?

Yes I plan on doing a full review and full pics of it in action. can you point me in the direction of others who have already purchased this laptop. I will post pics when i get my order in. Also I would like to add tha tyou can add skins to the computer that seal the keyboard and monitor.i alraeady got mine

It's a brand new laptop that just launched this month, and naturally, there's a huge volume of orders. One month is not unreasonable for a shipping estimate. Although keep your fingers crossed; usually the ESD is overstated.

 

Yeah, nobody in the world has received one yet, except people doing reviews and sneak peeks.
