    1400 price looks more reasonable:
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7250 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB cache) [add $130]
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T8100 (2.1GHz/800Mhz FSB/3MB cache) [add $180]
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T8300 (2.4GHz/800Mhz FSB/3MB cache) [add $280]
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz/800Mhz FSB/6MB cache) [add $430]
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9500 (2.6GHz/800Mhz FSB/6MB cache) [add $680]

That is ridiculous..! T8100 more expensive than T9300..?! Wha?

Indeed, the XPS M1530 is simply a better bargain now. That's why it replaced the Vostro 1500 as the most popular laptop here at NBR a long time ago :)

i dont understand why 8300 is more expensive then 7700 on dell canada but 180$ less on dell us.....and the 7700 id better even though its not a penryn...its got same clock and more cache......all you get out of the penryn 8300 compared to merom 7700 is slighly cooler and less battery consumption.....but definately not worth it for canadians.....for americans it might be becasue they save 180

    I KNOW !!!

and the worst thing about Dell is that their prices are totally locked. I've never seen prices on Dell's site ever go up or down. I've never seen Dell offer any type of "coupon" or "discount" to online buyers. I've never seen Dell drop a component due to supply shortages only to reinstate the option when supply became available.

It's too bad the price will never ever drop.

someone was under the rock. :D

Dell does offer coupons and discounts. Discounts are usually automatically listed at checkout screen, while Coupons are in forms of coupon codes, you also enters them at the checkout screen.
