GPU is not equal to a CPU

GPU is graphics, CPU is processor

You can't overclock the processor in a Dell, but you can overclock the GPU because its discrete. Get RIVATUNER, ATITOOL, or COOLBITS

    Google if necessary

In my experience, Dell does not allow you to overclock laptop processors in the BIOS.

Only XPS M1710 has an overclockable CPU (optional). All other models are locked. However the GPU can be overclocked with tools like rivatuner.

Overclocking a CPU or a GPU in a notebook is risky because of heat issues, you can't put in aftermarket performance coolers as with desktops. Therefore I'd advice against it because stock coolers are not designed to handle overclocked components.

You can likely do it with software, ClockGen but not the hardware in the BIOS.

In my experience ClockGen doesn't work with Dell laptops, though that might not be true on all models.
