    Yeah Yeah... I still have a 3650 DDR2 :(

I am looking to upgrade my laptop very soon....

Back to the question in hand....

I want to overclock my 3650, but with the latest drivers (and after the 8.10 Drivers I have not been able to overclock) ...

Was just wondering if there any any new methods in order to overclock my card...

ATI Tool does not work for me (Windows 7 64-Bit?)
Afterburner worked, but not any more.
    GPU Tool does not work.

Look forward to reading your replies.

    Driver version = 8.723.0.0 .. 6/4/2010 Catalyst 10.4
System specs are in my sig.

Question Why do you even want to ver clock the ATI 3650 256MB DDR2 GPU??

Why? Any amount would most likely be negigible and kill your battery life at the same time?

So for what purpose are you trying to play some game??

Hi. When my card was overclocked I noticed a FPS gain that was beneficial in some games.

    More FPS is great :p

Also I don't care about battery life... its always plugged in... and anyway that's what PowerPlay is for

I'd like to squeeze every last drop of performance from the GPU.
If that means dipping the whole thing in thermal paste then so be it lol..

But yeah the main reason is FPS gain. I get a decent amount anyway... can play games on Medium easily.. High.. only some..

COD I can play on High @ 1440 reso without problems. :D

So how did you over clock it the first time?

Since DELL never wants to give us the latest drivers I use this

    http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool.php

and use ATI's newest drivers been running awesome I have also Windows 7 64-bit

and play the Starcraft 2 Beta on Max settings and the frames are silky smooth at 30+ mainly thnaks to the Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 which runs at 2.53Ghz but Turbo Boosts or Over clocks itself to 2.66 Ghz, and the 6MB of cache helps alot.

Hi. The old drivers used to allow overclocking (and yes I did mobility mod the old drivers) .... but now using the official laptop drivers....10.X (10.4 in my case) Catalyst overclocking does not work....

So laptop owners don't need mobility modder now...

It is from ATI. Official laptop drivers..they started @ 10.3 .. a few months back.
Latest is Catalyst 10.4 ... these drivers require no modding.

    Click this link

    Click on your Operating System
    Then Click Mobility Radeon.
Then Click on your graphics card series.
    Then download.
    Then install.
    Voila... it is done.

    Yes. 3650 = 3000 series.
    48__ = 4000 series.

    Just like a BMW 535d = 5 Series
    BMW 335d = 3 Series

    etc

    Have fun :p
