My Dell laptop has an Ati Radeon HD Mobility 4650 and I'm wondering if its possible to overclock the clock speed a bit. When I play games on it, it starts out with great FPS and then eventually drops to 6 or so. It has 1 gb ram but the clock speed is around 450 MHz so I'm thinking thats the problem. I've done some googling but havent really found any answers. Im thinking Dell may have somehow locked it so that I cant overclock the GPU but do you guys have any info on the subject?

    Thanks.

if on the beginning your FPS is good, and then falls down, it means you have overheating problems or heavy throttling.

Overclocking your card at that moment will only do more harm, it would be like adding gas to a already set up fire, and you can damage the components this way.

Install HWinfo Program and run it in sensor mode, play a game, see at what temps your laptop maxes out.

Then, repaste and clean your laptop :)
