I'm having great success overclocking my 6800 GO. I used coolbits to detect optimal frequencies and it literally doubles the frame rates.[8D]

For example, I can run Farcry at 1680x1050 with all the video options set to high and it runs between 60-100 fps in the open areas. But when I set the clock back down to default, it goes to down to 30-60fps.[8D]

But I noticed that my GPU runs 5 degrees celcius hotter.[:0]

So how hot is too hot?[:I]

    256Mb Nvidia Gforce 6800 GO

    1 Gb RAM
    100Gb Fujitsu HDD

t should not exceed 55 which is a stable condition ... and if it just hits 60 u know u r in deep **** ... i too have the same laptop and exact same thing as u ...

id advise as i already have checked and over clocked mine to the absolute max to leave it at these sittings are lower ...

    300 core

    642 memory

reason being is that when u run games on it it will reach high temperatures causing ur card to fry !

our 6800 go has a thermostat in it so get coolbits 2.0 which unlocks it and u can see the temp of ur gpu ...

remember play a graphic intense game on it for liek 10 mins then alt tab and see wat temp it's on ...

any more than 55 is not recommemnded at all ....

55 and lower is perfectly safe ...

    hope that helps ...

btw do u know how to over clock our cpu ? id really want to know how if u can tell me ...

    ** Dell Inspiron 9300 ... Centrino 2 ghz ... 1 Gig Ram ... 256 Nvidia Geforce 6800 Go ... 100 Gig Hardrive ... 17 inch WUXGA screen with Truelife ... 8 x Dual DVD Burner ... Wifi **
