    I was wondering if its possible to overclock the ati x300 64 mb video card that i got with my i6000. Im new to overclocking and would like some help, also i heard that the your warranty goes void if you do overclock your video card. I wanted to know if you do overclock the video card, can you jus restore it to normal setttings? will dell still be able to tell that it was overclocked?

    Also is it like really dangerous and risky. I dont want to push out of board, i jus want to over clock enough so the risk of it frying is minimal.

    Thanks

    you can OC it. you can also do it incrementally. you can restore to default settings as well.

    it is risky in that you can fry the card. on my 128 mb x300, i didn't notice much of difference in gaming when i did OC my card.

    if you do want to overclock, try atitools. The program sits in your system try, so you can change the gpu/mem speed on the fly.

    I overclocked my GPU as well, didnt see much performace difference therefore I set it back to default.

    Well My X600's default is 400 / 250

    OC'd -> 450 / 280

    Maybe about 3 - 5 fps increase in counter strike source?

    im kinda confused, i downloaded atitools and ran the find max core function. It kept going for like 20 min. My default core was at 300 but after 20 min the max core funtion was still going and my core was at 400. I have a question, the progrma didnt give any errors and kept going, should i let it run for an hour or so or is this dangerous, im scared that the program is going too far. Whats the usual overclocked core for x300 64mb for peopel who have overclocked it? and the mem too
