    Hey everyone.

I just got my 1720 with 8600GT yesterday and I checked the VRAM clock speed, it's 400mhz.

I saw a thread a couple of days ago where a guy overclocked his 1520 to 500-something at the cost of a non-dangerous temperature increase.

Because the 1720 is bigger, does this mean I can clock it higher (due to better heat dissipation)?

I confess, I've never overclocked anything before but I'd like to try it so you guys can get an idea of how well the 8600gt can run even with DDR2 ram.

So far I've done one benchmark: 3dmark 06 @ 1280x1024 , Vista (bloatware present but processes closed), Aero on and running at 1920x1200: 2797

Any tips would be appreciated :)

The model is an LPLE400, and a quick google search says that's an LG screen. :)

    No grainyness at all.
