I do not see a owner thread for 7348, so I like to start one. Please delete if there is one.

I got a retail W8.1 and I install on this 7348 laptop today.

I ran into 2 problems when installing:

    1. "Intel Wireless Display Appliction". It say say something about not compatible with Intel WiDi? What is this?

    2. "Dell Wireless 1708 WiFi/Bluetooth Driver". I cant install this. It say something about Widcomm Bluetooth Software.

Did you get these above to work?

Has anyone do a clean upgrade to W10 yet? I am downloading it now.

I only see one file for W10. I wonder if all the drivers will work.

I dont want to be the first one too. LOL

I am considering getting the 15 inch version of this. How do you determine what the 4 digit 'code' of the laptop is? The Dell website is really lacking in information.

I am planning on adding a second 4gb memory stick, and also probably a 256 gb SSD. Is there a particular kind of SATA 2.5 SSD that I need? The Dell site lists Samsung, but I was considering the "
Crucial MX200 250GB SATA 2.5". Any reason why that wouldn't work?

This thread here is for the 13". Find out what the height is on the Crucial. I would think a 15" is big, so any full size as long as it is 2.5" SSD will work.

Well folks. I wipe out my ssd clean and do a clean install of Windows 10 and it failed!

When I get to install "Intel Chipset Driver", my computer can never boot up anymore. W10 say critical error and error.

Thanks and no thanks to Hell and Microshaft.

I will wait a few more months before I try again.

    How did yours go?

    Hello,

I've bought the 7348 couple weeks ago, but have an issue with the display being darker around the edges, is this considered normal? Should I call them and get a replacement? Do other owners have this issue? Thanks!
