    Hey guys,

I was wondering if the owners either Vostro 1700 or Inspiron 1720 could post pics please? Because I am deciding between the two or getting 1500 or 1520.

Also to all the owners of 1500 or 1520 does your battery pack stick out? Because I've seen some that sticks out and others dont? Also for 1700 or 1720 does the battery pack stick out?

    Thankyou for you help guys.

    hey up,

right the battery pack sticks out on all models if you order the 9 cell pack.

The normal 6 cell which ships as standard does not stick out, but it wont run the laptop as long as a 9 cell would when running off battery power.

I have a 1700 on order but wont have it till the 28/08 at the earliest. UK seems to get a raw deal when i hear of guys in the states getting theirs in 1 or 2 weeks tops :(

does the 9 cell battery pack also stick out on a 1700? That looks odd to me.

My 1720 is sick -- especially with the high resolution screen. Plus, the 1720 is not too bad to carry around and even better if it's just going to sit on your desk.
