My 9400/E1705 came with the default PA-10 90W power supply. Recently, I've been going over the Stormlifter 7900 GS OC package and I notice that it has a selection of ROM files that have the V prefix, meaning that the voltage will go up to 1.24V. It says in the readme that it's recommended that using these ROM files requires that I either have a 130W power supply AND/OR a dual-pipe heatsink for the GPU. My question is, is a 130W power supply really necessary to use these settings? Does not the 90W supply have enough power to feed these settings? What can I expect to happen if I use these settings with neither of the above, but with an external cooling system to feed more air underneath the laptop, like a Spire Pacific Breeze, or even just a table fan?
